Who doesn't love coffee? Whether it be a latte, a cappuccino, a frappe, or a cortadito, almost everyone I know is overly dependent on some sort of coffee product. In fact, as I write this I am currently enjoying the last few sips of my late night latte... That being said, there is something you must know about my coffee addiction: I am loyal to Starbucks. How basic of me, I know, but there's nothing like the taste of a Starbucks latte no matter the hour (sometimes multiple times a day). I suppose I am open to experiment at other coffee shops, but so far nothing can compare.
Recently, my ever so basic coffee shop has decided to add inspirational quotes to their coffee sleeves. Now, not only do I get to enjoy the DELICIOUS taste of my Grande Coffee Latte, but I also get the chance to enjoy some inspiration from Oprah herself. These quotes *of course* are an attempt to promote Oprah's new Chai Tea... I don't know much about it but I'm hoping I'll be able to try it soon and, when I do, I'll be sure to share my experience. (For those of you who'd like to beat me to it, here's a link: http://www.teavana.com/oprah)
Anyways, it's always really nice to enjoy a cup of coffee and feel a little inspired while you do so... but not many people actually sit and drink their coffee in peace once they buy it, which means they probably don't even notice these quotes. Most people in line for coffee are in a rush to get somewhere and run right out once they've received their order. I used to do that too, but I have decided that I spend too much time trying to be productive, and not enough time enjoying everything around me... so I no longer run out after buying my coffee. I can guarantee that sitting down at a coffee shop to drink your coffee with no rush will cause your love for coffee to grow beyond just the drink itself (although I will admit that the drink alone is reason enough). For me, coffee is a chance to talk about your day. It's a chance to reflect and, even more so, to relax. It's more than just coffee, it's my happy place... and I hope that if you're reading this you'll give it a try and feel this way, too! :)
